Psychotherapeutic approach
My therapeutic approach is integrative, brain-based, evidence-driven and individually tailored. I draw from the following modalities:

-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Used to support clients in identifying unhelpful thought patterns, understanding how these influence emotions and behaviours, and developing practical cognitive and behavioural tools for change.
-
Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT): This is particularly helpful for clients struggling with intense emotions, impulsivity, self-harm, or relationship instability. This modalities focuses on developing: distress tolerance, mindfulness, emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness.
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Supporting clients in developing psychological flexibility — learning to accept difficult internal experiences while committing to values-aligned action.
-
Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT Level 1 and 2): A rapid brain-based intervention used for anxiety, trauma, phobias, emotional triggers and unhelpful behavioural patterns.
-
Narrative therapy: I have advanced training in narrative therapy, which helps clients: Separate themselves from their problems, understand the stories shaping their identity, and rewrite these narratives in empowering, healing ways
-
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): A strengths-based approach that focuses on solutions rather than problems — helping clients identify what is working, build on strengths, and make meaningful progress in a structured way.
-
General Brain-Based Approaches: I incorporate neuroscience-informed interventions that support:
· Regulation of the nervous system
· Trauma processing
· Behavioural change
· Understanding the brain-body connection
